Flags of hope artwork to go on display at Grinton Church

Artwork called ‘flags of hope’ will go on display at Grinton Church when restrictions are eased later this month.

Last year, Janet and Sarah, from The Threshing Barn craft shop, in Reeth, invited their crafty friends to make A5 pieces of art during lockdown, which they called Flags of Hope.

They planned to hang the flags from their trade stand at craft shows this year.

The shows have not yet restarted, but the pieces have been borrowed for a display in Grinton Church.

They were in place for the church’s Easter service and will be there for the next few months.

The church building will be open on Monday evenings, 5pm to 7pm, from 12 April, for visitors to see the display.

Covid-19 secure measures will be in place.
