Catterick Racecourse’s flat season continues on Saturday with an action packed seven race card that kicks off at 2.25pm with The British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes.
The gates will open to the public at 12.25pm, with the free shuttle bus bringing racegoers from Richmond Market Place to the racecourse approximately one hour prior to the first race.
The highlight of the afternoon comes at 4.45pm when the course will host the 2017 Catterick Twelve Furlong Series Final – The La Fille Rouge and JoJo Hats Handicap Stakes.

Now in its fifth year, the series offers £20,000 in prize money and is open to those who have run in one of the qualifying races since the season started back in April.
Fiona Needham, general manager, said: “The Catterick Twelve Furlong Series always provides some great racing action throughout the season and this year has been no exception – we’re looking forward to the final when our 2017 Catterick Twelve Furlong Champion will be crowned.”
In addition to the racing action on the track, there will be a range of free children’s entertainment on offer in the Course Enclosure to keep any younger racing fans amused.
As with all of Catterick Racecourse’s fixtures, all accompanied under 18’s will be admitted free of charge.
There will also be live music throughout the afternoon from trombone soloist Kenneth Stamp, as well as a chance for two lucky racegoers to win a bottle of Catterick Races bubbly.
Anyone looking to win will need to keep an eye out around the course on the day, and in the race card for details of how to enter.
A big screen will also be at the course on the day to enable racegoers to see even more action on the track, as well as showing the big race action from Ayr Races – featuring the Ayr Gold Cup.
Tickets for the day start at just £5 and will be available to purchase at the gates on the day, as well as in advance via the racecourse office or online at www.catterickbridge.co.uk.
