Flood warning issued for Swaledale

The Environment Agency have issued a flood warning for Swaledale.

The warning is for the area between Low Row and Grinton.

The River Swale water levels are expected to continue rising up to 1.25 metres until midday today.

A spokesperson said: “Please do not try to cross flood water either in vehicles or on foot and find alternative safe routes.”

There was also flooding on the A684 between Aysgarth and Worton in Wensleydale this morning, although vehicles were making it through.
