The A684 is closed in Wensleydale this evening after rising temperatures caused a rapid thaw of snow and ice.
Water from the River Ure flooded the road at several points, including Wensley and between Aysgarth and Worton.
Several vehicles have got stuck in the water and motorists are being urged not to drive through flooding.
