Former BBC Performing Arts Fellow and Horizon Folk Award nominee Rosie Hood is set to perform in Reeth later this month.
The singer will bring her four-piece band to Reeth Memorial Hall on Saturday, April 25, for an evening of contemporary and traditional folk music.
Known for her clear, powerful vocals, Hood blends poetic songwriting with fresh interpretations of traditional English songs. She will be joined on stage by long-time collaborator Nicola Beazley on fiddle, alongside Robyn Wallace on melodeon and percussion, and fellow fiddle player Rosie Butler-Hall.
Together, the group rework traditional material while also performing original compositions exploring themes such as nature, human experience and untold stories, with a particular focus on women’s voices.
Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Tickets are priced at £17 in advance (£19 on the door), with under-16s admitted at half price.
Proceeds from the concert will go towards supporting the Memorial Hall.
