Damage to Catterick Garrison Football Centre pitches.

A football club has appealed for information after damage was caused to one of its pitches.

A vehicle was driven on the main pitch at Catterick Garrison Football Centre’s facilities at the Army Welfare Centre off Richmond Road.

Club officials say the damage occurred overnight.

They believe it was caused by someone on a quad bike.

Although the damage is only superficial, the club is worried it could happen again and be more serious next time.

They are urging anyone with information on the vandalism to get in touch.

The club is also urging local residents not to allow their dog to foul the pitches after repeatedly finding dog muck on the ground recently.
