A Richmondshire football club has paid its own tribute to the NHS.
Richmond Town FC has used its line marker to paint the words ‘THANK YOU NHS’ on its pitch at Earl’s Orchard.
The club said in a statement on social media: “On behalf of everyone at the club and the people of Richmond we would like to say Thank You to everyone at the NHS.
“A huge thank you to all the key workers as well.”
The club joked that it would have added this to the message, but it was running out of paint!
The pitch, beside the River Swale and overlooked by Richmond Castle, is regularly voted one of the most scenic in Britain. [kofi]
