Businesses have the opportunity to take part in a three-day workshop in Leyburn that aims to help them build and launch their own website.
The scheme, which is run in partnership with Digital Advantage, will be hosted by local Aske-based digital agency, Purple Creative Studio.
The free workshop will give six businesses the opportunity to build their own website with expert help.
The workshop will run for three days on February 7, 14 and 20.
Businesses will be shown how to craft a fully functioning website through the online website platform Squarespace with the final session seeing the website go live with a domain.
They will also be guided through the process of writing web content, SEO and blog posts.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to share and present their site to the group and gain feedback.
It is hoped that the fully funded workshops will allow local businesses that haven’t had the means to build a website to get online and manage their website going forward, using analytics to their advantage.
The workshop will take place at Tennants Auctioneers in Leyburn from 9am to 4pm and will include a catered lunch.
Purple operations manager Sarah Cook said: “Getting a website can sometimes be a challenge for small businesses when starting up, so this workshop is ideal for businesses to create something themselves with our support that looks professional and can be the stepping stone for them being found online.
“By limiting the numbers to 6 businesses we are hoping that people can get lots of valuable support and advice.”
The digital advantage project seeks to help equip businesses with the digital skills needed to market themselves and grow their businesses online when it comes to online courses.
Funding is available towards several different courses including cyber security, digital marketing, email marketing and more.
Purple Creative Studio has been working with Digital Advantage since 2017 and have helped a range of businesses with their digital needs through the hosting of online webinars and in-person workshops.
Interested businesses can contact Purple Creative Studio via their website or email hello@purplecs.com to find out more about the workshop and confirm eligibility.
