The Worshipful Master Robert Riddell of Lennox Lodge Freemasons has presented a donation of £300 to the chairman, David Summers, of the Richmond & Catterick Group Riding for the Disabled (RDA).

Accompanied by his two wardens David Wright and Andy Down, together with Chris Clay, the lodge secretary, Robert Riddell presented the cheque with a backdrop of some of the disabled riders who remained mounted after their lesson.

Disability is the lodge’s chosen charity for 2023, with the aim to raise the profile of disability in the community.

As a result of a raffle at the last meeting, Lennox Lodge raised money to donate to Richmond & Catterick Group RDA, recognising the work it does in the community.

RDA chairman David Summers said: “Our group is delighted to receive this generous donation of £300, which will go towards meeting our annual running costs. As a registered charity, the group depends entirely on the support of the local community.

“This donation from Lennox Lodge will help us to enable our disabled riders to enhance their lives by improving their confidence, communication skills and mobility but, most importantly, they will have lots of fun.

“Every penny of the £300 will go directly to benefit our riders.”
