Richmond’s Friary Tower is turning red this week as part of the town’s tributes for the 2018 Remembrance Day.
The District Council is lighting the 15th century tower in Friary Gardens to mark the 100 year anniversary of the end of the First World War.
It has also placed a poppy covered ‘100’ on the railings of the park.
A poppy walk has also been created at Richmondshire District Council’s Mercury House headquarters with council officers creating the red flowers and draping them around the building, both inside and out.
