A charity appeal launched in memory of a Richmond teacher has already raised more than £12,000.
The appeal has been set up by the family of Richmond School deputy head Dave Clark, who died on September 21 while walking his dogs near the town.
It will raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service, which attended on the day.
The family say they have been contacted by lots of people regarding a charity to donate to in memory of Mr Clark.
They added: “We have decided to go with the Great North Air Ambulance as they were present at the scene of the terrible incident.
“We are totally devastated at the untimely passing of Dave, but are taking great comfort in hearing everyone’s kind words and funny memories of him.
“We are sure his legacy will live on in Richmond as well as further afield.
“If you could take a little bit of time, spare a little money to donate and share a special memory of Dave in your comments, we would be incredibly grateful.”
