A fundraising night for Richmond’s MayFest will take place later this month.
The MayFest trustees are holding a second fundraising Reveal Appeal in the Station Café Bar on the evening of Thursday, February 27.
Now in its third year, MayFest is a three-day festival of song, dance, music and storytelling.
At the fundraising night, the programme for this year’s MayFest will be revealed to guests with some of the participating musicians playing at the event.
These include the strolling folk musicians the Ran Tanners.
Entertaining guests as they arrive will be Richmond’s very own Susanna Pell with sweet sounds on the viol – and also from Richmond, Gill Page and Paul Leigh of Trouvere will entertain guests over the evening with medieval sounds.
All guests will be welcomed with a glass of Bucks Fizz or beer and a selection of canapes.
A raffle and tombola offer the chance to win prizes including from the Station Café Bar and Station Cinema – and the House of Lords!
There will also be a surprise reveal!
Organisers say every ticket sold supports MayFest, and guests are invited to become Friends of Richmond MayFest, to make a donation or to become personal or corporate sponsors.
This is also an opportunity to find out how to become a volunteer of MayFest and what tasks can be done to support the event, which this year is from Friday, May 2 to Monday, May 5.
Doors open 7pm and the evening ends around 9pm.
Tickets are available from the Richmond Information Centre in the Market Hall and through the MayFest website www.richmondmayfest.org
