Richmond’s Green Howards Museum has retained its status as a VisitEngland Quality Assured Visitor Attraction after achieving an impressive assessment score of 92%.
The national accreditation scheme is designed to give visitors confidence that attractions meet high standards for quality and customer experience.
Unlike scheduled inspections, VisitEngland assessors visit attractions anonymously, allowing them to judge the visitor experience during normal day-to-day operations.
In its latest report, VisitEngland praised several aspects of the museum, stating: “The Green Howards Museum has achieved an impressive score of 92% at the time of this assessment and has comfortably retained the VisitEngland accreditation of a quality visitor attraction.
“Highlights of the visit were numerous and included the excellent customer service, well presented galleries and quality retail offer.”
The museum, housed in the historic Trinity Church building in Richmond’s Market Place, tells the story of the Green Howards Regiment and hosts a varied programme of events throughout the year.
As part of its summer offer, children aged under 16 can visit free until September 5, with a programme of family-friendly activities taking place during the school holidays.
The Green Howards Museum is open from 10am to 4.30pm, Monday to Saturday, with last admission at 4pm.
