The Green Howards Museum is restarting its popular Richmond Wander talks with a digital tour around the town.

The talks usually take the format of a guided walk around Richmond, however museum staff have instead filmed the tour so that talks can be offered online.

A spokesperson for the museum said “The Richmond Wander is a stunning way to find out more about our town; planes, prisoners, boats, boots, bridges, nurses, Normans, Belgians, castles and trains all feature.

“You will take a virtual walk round Richmond with your knowledgeable volunteer guides, spotting the clues to its military past.

“If you have missed visiting Richmond recently, this is a must. And even if you have been many times before, you’re sure to learn something new about our fascinating town without even leaving home, or needing a brolly.”

The talks cost £5.
