A Hawes beautician is in the running for two national awards.
Laura Fawcett, who runs Papillon Beauty, is a finalist in two categories at the 2022 UK Hair and Beauty Awards.
As well as the Best for Brows category, she is in the running for the SPMU Artist of the Year award.
Laura only opened in April, but has been providing services locally for the last six years.
She said: “I feel so honoured to be recognised for these awards.
“It really is a huge compliment to be be shortlisted as a finalist in the industry that I’m part of.”
Jill McMullon, chair of Hawes and High Abbotside Parish Council, congratulated Laura on the recognition.
She said: “This is marvellous news and we are all so proud of Laura.
“Yet again Hawes is leading the way!”
