Heavy rain on Saturday caused flooding across the Yorkshire Dales.
More than 12cm of rain fell on the Upper Dales over the day.
The River Ure flooded over fields and roads in the Hawes area.
The A684 shut at Wensley as the river flooded over the road.
Firefighters from Leyburn and Reeth were called out on to Wensley at about 8.30pm to reports of a motorist stuck in flood water.
The occupant of the vehicle was helped to safety with the vehicle stuck in a foot of water.
The water has now gone but several vehicles have been abandoned.
In a separate incident a slurry tanker was washed into Middleham Bridge last night.
The road was closed as a precaution although drivers are ignoring the road closure this morning.
The slurry tanker is no longer visible in the river.
Flood alerts were issued on Saturday for the Rivers Ure and Swale, with a flood warning issued for Arkle Beck in the Reeth and Grinton area.
