Richmondshire District Council has offered help to council tax payers.
Residents not already on the council tax reduction scheme (CTR) who have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak and need help with their bill should get in touch with the authority.
They can call 01748 829100 or email enquiries@richmondshire.gov.uk
Alternatively, they can apply online for help here.
Officials say they are dealing with each query on an individual basis.
The Government has already announced extra help for working age people who receive CTR, which could reduce their Council Tax liability by up to a further £150 for the 2020-21 financial year.
Anyone who is working age and currently receives CTR does not need to apply for this as Richmondshire District Council will automatically reduce bills as soon as they are able to.
