Hipswell Primary pupils learn new football skills

Pupils from Hipswell Primary School have enjoyed being taught new footballing skills.

The school was visited by coaches from Teesside-based Polton All Stars Academy before half-term.

Headteacher Carolyn Ewbank said: “Year 6 enjoyed a football session with Nick and Harris from Polton All Stars Academy.

“Thanks to both coaches, the class enjoyed practising and developing skills and then applying them in a game.

“The children showed enthusiasm and resilience with smiles on their faces! Well done Year 6, and thank you very much to Nick and Harris.”

Sarah Brotherton, chair of governors, added: “All the children has an absolutely fabulous time and really learned some excellent skills, including resilience and perseverance, that will not only help them in the sporting world but also in life.”
