A week in a Swaledale holiday cottage is one of the lots,

Richmond Rotary Club is to run an online charity auction to replace its usual fundraising activities which have had to be cancelled due to Covid-19.

The auction, devised by Richmond Rotarian Ian Armstrong, includes the chance to bid on art, food and drink, and UK holiday accommodation, as well as experiences money can’t normally buy.

Everyone is very welcome to look at the website without any obligation.

The auction runs until the end of October.

Rotary President Warnock Kerr said it was easy to bid and those lucky enough to win one of the lots could pay using Paypal or debit or credit cards.

“This is a new and exciting venture for Richmond Rotary Club and the money raised will be used to support a wide range of local and international Rotary charities.

“The demand for charity work is as high as ever but our ability to raise funds is much diminished at present so we hope that many people will support this safe and fascinating initiative.”
