
A Risedale College student got to meet Prince William after being invited to attend a Party at the Palace.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry hosted the special tea party in the grounds of Buckingham Palace, honouring the children of those who had died serving in the Armed Forces.
15-year-old Hollie Upton lost her father, Sean Upton, while he was serving in Afghanistan in 2009.

Hollie said: “The Party at the Palace was amazing and I even got to meet Prince William.
“I had my photo taken with lots of people including several members of the Welsh Rugby Team and Richard Jones, the soldier that won Britain’s Got Talent for performing magic.”
The tea party featured live performances, various stalls, games on the lawn and the chance to explore the gardens.
Hollie said: “It was a very special day and one that I will always remember.”
