Home-Start Richmondshire has secured a further three years of funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, ensuring it can continue supporting families across the district.
The charity said the funding will allow it to maintain its services for parents with young children, providing emotional and practical support to help build confidence, strengthen family relationships and create stable home environments.
The successful funding bid was supported by evidence of the impact made by the charity’s team of trained volunteers, whose work with local families played a key role in securing the award.
Heather Macfarquhar, chair of Home-Start Richmondshire, welcomed the announcement, saying: “What wonderful news to receive that we have been successful with our bid to the National Lottery. This means we can continue to support families across Richmondshire for another few years.”
She added: “This is in no small measure because of the fantastic work that all of you, our volunteers, do in the name of Home-Start. Thank you for all your hard work, and this award really recognises that.”
Home-Start Richmondshire supports families with young children who are facing challenging circumstances, with trained volunteers providing one-to-one assistance to help parents build resilience and give children the best possible start in life.
