Hundreds of Richmondshire homes have suffered a Christmas Day power cut.
Northern Powergrid says around 280 properties in Wensleydale are affected.
Power is due to be restored by 12noon
However a spokesperson added: “We are currently working hard to restore your power however we are unable to provide an accurate restoration time.
“Please call us on 105 if you have any specific questions.”
They added that the power cut was caused by an unexpected problem with the cables or equipment.
It was reported at 7.49am this morning.
Properties in Askrigg and Hawes are among those affected.
