Steve Adams, chair of Catterick Village Junior Football Club, said: “We had a fantastic day hosting this festival for local teams and were lucky with  lovely sunny morning.

“So great to see more than 200 kids from local clubs ranging from U6s to U10s taking part in a friendly and fun atmosphere.

“Thanks to all our volunteers for organising and running the event and for all the clubs and supporters for making it such a great day.”

The festival was sponsored by Catterick Village JFC club sponsor and former club member, Tommy Goodall, who now runs estate and lettings agents HomeXperts.

He is donating £100 to the club for every referral made by the club members’ parents.

Tommy said: “The junior football was something that was close to my heart and it is great to be involved again now.

“We are doing something a bit out of the ordinary with the sponsorship arrangement to try and increase the amount of money coming into the club.”
