The first Raydale Round charity fundraiser will take place at Semerwater on Sunday in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
The Raydale Round is a 10K walk or run.
The course is a mixed terrain route on footpaths and bridleways, taking in the stunning scenery around Semerwater.
At least £10 of the £12 entry fee will go to Breast Cancer Care, as well as all profits on the day.
Places are still available. Participants can sign up here.
There will also be limited entries available on the day. Anyone wanting to pay at the lakeside should email organisers via the website.
Money raised will contribute to the fundraising efforts of Askrigg cancer sufferer Anita Watson and it is hoped the event will take her over her target of raising £50,000 for the charity.
