Police are asking for information after a spate on vandalism and anti-social behaviour in Hawes.

Officers say they are receiving regular reports of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage around the Dales Countryside Museum, toilets and car park/platform areas.

This has included fires being lit, excessive littering and continued vandalism to the toilets.

PCSO Lucy Osnborn said: “We will be increasing patrols in the area and are working closely with YDNPA, local fire service and those local businesses who are being affected by this mindless and disappointing behaviour.

“We will be dealing with any offenders in a very robust way and ask residents to come forward if they have any information relating to those responsible.”

Anyone with information should call 101 or email generalenquiries@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
