Alt-Berg have established a strong reputation in supplying various military, police, outdoor and motorcycle customers though a range of channels including contract, B2B and direct sales, as specialist bootmakers with a reputation for quality and good fitting boots.
Job Description:
We are looking to add to our team of bootmakers in our Richmond factory.
– Working alongside an experienced bootmaker and the existing team, producing specialist boots for Military, Police, Motorcycle and Walking.
– Learning various stages of the boot making process, which will include lasting, preparation, finishing and various other areas of the production process
The Person:
– Positive attitude, willing to learn new skills,
– Good face to face, and written communication skills
– Must have good organisation skills and be able to multitask.
– Must be able to work with hands
– Must be able to work as part of a team and/or individually
Experience is not necessary, although some experience in a workshop/factory environment could be advantageous.
Training will be given ‘on the job’
Hours of work:
37.5 hours a week (Monday-Friday 0900-1700)
Rate of Pay:
Starting wage £27,000 + yearly bonus
