More than 160 people gathered to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the opening of the Jonas Centre in Redmire.
The event at the Gardens Rooms at Tenants in Leyburn featured a service of dedication.
The centre, which is run by a Christian charity, aims to provide accommodation to individuals, families and groups in a “peaceful setting away from the strains and stresses of everyday life”.
This story continues after the adverts:
Centre director Simon Eastwood said: “We heard stories of how so many different people have come to love this place and all that it provides for so many individuals, families and groups.
“It gave me the chance to thank so many people who have supported the ministry of The Jonas Centre since it began in 1996.”
The trustees also used the event to share the plans for the future of the centre.
Vision 21 will see the centre’s 12 cabins refurbished, a new community build will be created and six new cabins will be built.
Other improvements are also planned, including a sensory walk, planting for a prayer garden, bike stands and refurbishment of the children’s playground.
