June Christmas party planned for Joshua

A festive Jingle in June party will be held next month for a little boy with an incurable condition.

Joshua Jessop, 9, from Richmond, has Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

He is not expected to see as many Christmases as other children and so his family have decided to create a second Christmas for him in June.

As well as having a good time, the event will raise money for a trip to Lapland before his condition deteriorates further.

The party coincides with the anniversary of his original diagnosis.

Mum Karen said: “Every year around the date of diagnosis of June 16 we do something positive and this year we’d like to ask you to join us with a festive family fundraising party to try and get Joshua to meet the real Santa in Lapland Christmas 2018.”

The event will take place at the Comrades Club, in Newbiggin, Richmond on Saturday, June 16 from 2pm to 6pm.

A festive disco will be provided Be Cool Entertainments with additional acts to be announced.

Ticket cost £6 and the price includes a festive Christmas buffet.

There will also be a raffle with prizes donated from local businesses.

Tickets are now on sale and can be bought directly from The Comrades or alternatively via the Paypal link here.
