Junior coaching tees off at Richmond Golf Club

Richmond Golf Club has launched a new junior coaching programme.

The coaching is being led by PGA Golf Professional James Cousins, who welcomed 30 junior golfers to the opening session.

The programme aims to develop young players’ skills while creating a fun, supportive and welcoming environment for those new to the game.

James said: “The juniors have really enjoyed their first session and my aim is to raise their game to a good standard. Just as importantly, I want to make sure they have fun learning in a friendly environment here at Richmond.”

The club says the programme reflects its ongoing commitment to encouraging junior participation in golf and helping young players build confidence, technique and a love for the sport.

Due to strong interest, James is also launching an additional junior coaching class, which will begin on Saturday, February 14 at 1pm.

Sessions will cost £5 per session, making the programme accessible to families across the local area.

Parents and guardians interested in finding out more or securing a place for their child are encouraged to contact Richmond Golf Club.
