A junior football club has launched new training sessions for girls.

Catterick Village Junior Football Club is calling the new section to the Catterick Village Roses.

Paul Hankin, the club’s commercial officer, said: “We will be introducing football training sessions for girls of all abilities from year 8 – 11, 12 years to 16 years.

“We have previously developed players who have never kicked a ball before to become competent players so we will be happy to welcome anyone who wants to give it a try.

“We will be holding a taster session at Catterick Village Playing Fields on Monday, June 26 from 6pm – 6.30pm so for anyone who has ever thought about it but not had a go, now is the time to join a club that has been built on an ethos to always provide access to football to boys and girls in and around our area regardless of ability in a fun and safe environment.”
