Kindness Elf visits Richmond primary school

Trinity Academy Richmond with the Kindness Elf.

December has been the month of kindness at Trinity Academy Richmond.

The Kindness Elf has been visiting the classrooms, encouraging children to show kindness to others.

Acts of kindness have included sending cards and biscuits to the local Fire Station, sending Christmas cards and the performing of carols and songs to the residents of Nightingale Hall, older children reading stories to the younger children and sending positive comments to others on our school blog praising them on their hard work and effort.

As well as the Kindness Elf, children have been inspired to donate food items, unwanted clothes and toys to school in a Reverse Advent enterprise.

The items received are to be donated to local charitable causes.

Executive headteacher, Kate Williamson, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our pupils and their families.

“Christmas can be a difficult time of year for so many people and our children have certainly helped to put a smile on people’s faces.

“As ever, we are extremely proud of our thoughtful children.”
