Kiplin Hall to hold open morning for potential volunteers

Volunteers Sheila Dixon and Julie Ward.

Anyone interested in volunteering at an historic Jacobean hall can get more information at an open morning this week.

Kiplin Hall, near Scorton, is inviting anyone with an interest in helping at the country house to call in for a chat on Saturday, February 10th.

Rosie Kluz, volunteer coordinator, said: “Being a volunteer at Kiplin is like joining a family – we are very much a friendly team.

This story continues after the adverts:

“Volunteers get to meet new people, learn new skills and find out more about the hall’s fascinating history.

“Without the volunteers we simply couldn’t function and we are very grateful for their support.”

Volunteers work in the grounds and in the hall, in small teams and on their own.

They help with numerous different tasks, from working on the archives to building bird hides, and volunteers with a wide range of interests and existing skills are needed.

Prospective volunteers can chat to staff and existing volunteers from 10am to 12.30pm on Saturday.
