Knit while you watch — cinema holds screening just for crafters!

The Station Cinema.

The Station Cinema is trialling a new screening type designed for budding crafters, knitters and sewers!

KNITFLIX will be a screening that allows audiences to enjoy a movie while being able to knit and sew to their heart’s content, with the lights raised to ensure there’s no accidents.

The first film will be the romantic comedy-drama Fly Me To The Moon, starring Scarlett Johannson and Channing Tatum.

Bosses say if the screening proves popular, it might become a monthly event.

Johannson plays a marketing maverick called Kelly, who soon wreaks havoc against the backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing, as launch director Cole (Tatum) struggles with an already difficult task.

KNITFLIX: Fly Me To The Moon takes place on Sunday, July 15 at 2.30pm.

Tickets are available to book now at the cinema box office from 11am daily, or by calling 01748 823062 during opening hours, or by the website www.stationcinema.com
