Hundreds of children came together with parents, grandparents and even great grandparents at Le Cateau Primary School in a celebration of reading.
From bedtime stories to poems, Revolting Rhymes to spy stories in the dark, mystery and comic books, the school celebrated a love of reading at the What’s the Story event on Wednesday.
Children joined in with creating their own stories, performing with puppets, dazzling drama and even a pirate treasure hunt.
Kate Parkinson, from the school, said: “It was a fantastic opportunity for families to join their children and enjoy reading together.”
