Leyburn Arts and Communtiy Centre to hold family fun day

Leyburn Arts and Community Centre.

Leyburn Arts and Community Centre will hold a community shed family fun day on Saturday, September 16 from 10am to 4pm.

Jeannie Bishop, from the venue, said: “The hurdles have been overcome and it seems a long time from its inception in 2019 as a project to have a men’s shed.

“Many months later and much research, planning and discussions there are now signs developing of our Community Shed appearing.

“We’ve already ordered the fine weather. There will be lots going on, for all ages, including demonstrations of crafts, activities for young people, a Bloke Stuff stall of useful old tools etc, target golf, splat the rat, spin the wheel, giant buzz wire etc.

“Come along and hear about the progress with the community shed and have a coffee and home made cake in our café and browse the books and jigsaws in the Little Shop. It is also the date of the fundraising community shed draw.

“Lots of prizes so make sure you have your ticket. Get the date in your diaries. It’s free entry.”
