Three Leyburn butchers have put football rivalries aside to create two special edition sausages.
Newcastle fans Matt Thompson and Joe Westwood and Man Utd supporter Matthew Horner, who work at Campbells, have made the bangers ahead of Sunday’s league cup final when the two teams will meet at Wembley.
The Toon Toon sausages made by the Newcastle fans are seasoned with black pepper and Newcastle Brown Ale, while Matthew Horner says his Red Devils are “red hot just like Rashford’s form”.
Store manager Richard Walker said: “What better way to watch the cup final than with some specially-prepared sausages and some fizz from our wine department.
“Personally I don’t care who wins as I’m a Boro fan but I’ll be watching to see who has bragging rights on Monday morning.”
The sausages are on sale now and over the weekend.
