A new photographic exhibition celebrating the Yorkshire Dales has opened at The Garden Rooms at Tennants in Leyburn.
The event displays the finalists from the venue’s first amateur photography competition which launched this Spring.
Not only will visitors to this free exhibition be able to view the photographs, but they will have the chance to vote for their favourite photograph until September 10.
The winning photographer will receive a prize of photographic vouchers, and the winning photograph and eleven runners up will be featured in The Garden Rooms 2018 calendar.
In addition, many of the photographs will be on sale for visitors to buy with 10% of proceeds going to the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust.
Chief Executive of the trust, David Sharrod said: “The Yorkshire Dales: Where the Past Meets the Present is a theme that’s close to our hearts as a charity that works to conserve, enhance and celebrate the unique heritage of the Dales as well as helping to ensure a healthy future for this special place.
“We’re delighted to be involved in The Garden Rooms at Tennants photographic competition.”
Alison Tennants added: “We had some really fantastic entries into the competition – there are definitely some talented amateur photographers out there.
“It was hard work choosing the final 25 photographs, but we are really excited to reveal them on the 19th – and we are delighted to be leaving the final decision as to who wins to the visitors!”
