Campbells of Leyburn has extended its delivery service to a larger catchment area in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
Starting from tomorrow, the store is running a three-day weekly service on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
However, the free service is being reserved only for over-70s and those with health conditions which mean they need to self-isolate.
Store manager Richard Walker said: “The delivery days offered have been chosen by us to allow you the best prospect of receiving your chosen products given our suppliers delivery arrangements.
“The routes/villages have been chosen from a catchment area of around a ten-mile radius.
“Given the current panic buying we are witnessing in supermarkets as a relatively small family business ourselves with only around 20 staff to run the whole store that in order to make it viable I am asking if only people who fall in to this category please use this weekly service.
“We will not be charging for this delivery service.”

Please place your orders at least 24 hours before the due delivery date.
Orders will be picked by our staff in store on the delivery day and will be subject to availability.
Payments can be made by card over the phone on receipt of delivery, BACs, cash or by cheque.
Please inform us which payment method you will be using when placing your order along with your name, full address and contact telephone number should we need to contact you.
Delivery routes will be as follows:
- Wednesday – Bellerby, Downholme, Marrick, Reeth, Grinton
- Thursday – Leyburn, Harmby, Spennithorne, Middleham, Carlton, West Scrafton, East Witton, Constable Burton, Thornton Steward, Finghall, Hunton.
- Friday – Wensley, Preston Under Scarr, Redmire, Carperby, Castle Bolton, Aysgarth, Thornton Rust, Thoralby, West Burton, Swinnithwaite, West Witton
