
An event to highlight the importance of lifelong learning to military personnel and their families will take place in Catterick Garrison next week.
The 2018 Festival of Learning is the biggest celebration of lifelong learning in England with an event specifically organised for military personnel and families at Vimy Barracks in Catterick Garrison on Thursday, June 21.
The 2018 Festival of Learning is to highlight the benefits of lifelong learning to all military ranks and the qualifications they can achieve with the funding opportunities available.

Each event will run from 10am to 2pm with regional and national providers of education and training attending.
The event will be held in the Beharry Centre in Vimy Barracks DL9 3PE.
All ranks are invited to attend, including those in resettlement and veterans with opportunities for all.
Both events are free to attend, simply turn up on the day.
The 2018 Festival of Learning is the opportunity for all to find out what career enhancing qualifications are available to them and what funding is available to achieve them.
Festival of Learning, led by Learning and Work Institute, invites organisations and communities to take part in adult learning activities to showcase the wide range of opportunities and resources available to adults hoping to continue or resume their education.

Representatives from Northumbria, Open University, Salford University, Hull College, Lincoln University and Darlington College will be in attendance.
