2019 Tour de Yorkshire to return to Coverdale

The route of the 2019 Tour de Yorkshire is being revealed this morning in Leeds with Bedale to host the finish of the second stage.

The race will come to Richmondshire on the last day on Sunday, May 5 when the riders will again come down Coverdale to Middleham before heading to Masham and the finish in Leeds.

The 2019 Tour de Yorkshire will take place over four days next year with Bedale joined by Barnsley, Bridlington, Doncaster, Halifax, Leeds, Scarborough and Selby as host towns.

Announcing the route, Sir Gary Verity, from Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “We bestowed this honour on Bedale after it gave us such a warm reception when we visited earlier this year.”

Artist Mackenzie Thorpe has been announced as the official artist for 2019, while Help for Heroes will be the official charity.
