All the results are in from the Richmondshire seats at the North Yorkshire County Council election.
There were few surprises but much relief as the independents and Conservatives held on to their seats.
The tightest result was in the Central Richmondshire contest where Helen Grant kept her seat, beating Conservative Lawrence Grose by just 120 votes.
This story continues after the adverts:
In the Upper Dales, John Blackie held his seat getting the double the votes of Conservative district council leader Yvonne Peacock.
Angus Thompson took the Richmondshire North seat which was vacant following the death of Michael Heseltine.

Stuart Parsons held Richmond easily, while Conservative councillor Karin Sedgwick won Middle Dales – the seat vacated by Roger Harrison-Topham.
