Live music returns to Reeth Memorial Hall

Rant.

Live music will return to Reeth Memorial Hall next month.

It will recommence on Friday, September 17 with the return of RANT, who are billed as four of Scotland’ s finest fiddle players.

Organiser John Little said: “Bethany Reid, Lauren MacColl, Anna Massie and Gillian Frame join forces to create a sound which is both rich and lush yet retaining all the bite and spark synonymous with a Scottish fiddle player.

“Using just their fiddles, they weave a tapestry of melodies, textures, layers and sounds.

“Known for their work as soloists and with various bands, this is a celebration of the instrument they all have a passion for.

“Their live performances reflect their years of honing their sound together and their love for their home areas of Shetland and the Highlands through their writing, repertoire and stories.”

Tickets are £15 in advance (£17 on the door) and under 16s are half price, on sale at Reeth Post Office or contact John Little on 01748-884759 or memorialhall@swaledale.co.uk.

Proceeds are in aid of hall funds.

Please note that maximum ventilation will be used and no refreshments will be served.

Please bring your own drinks if required, however it will not be possible to observe social distancing.
