A man has admitted causing the death of a young mother.
Harry Elliott, 25, appeared in York Crown Court this morning following the death of mother-of-one Naomi Buckle.
Miss Buckle, from Catterick Garrison, died at the scene of a collision on December 6, 2019 on the B6265 in Risplith, near Ripon.
She was 20-years-old and had a daughter.
Elliott, of Anteforth View, Gilling West, was driving an Audi RS3 at the time of the crash.
Miss Buckle was a passenger in the vehicle when it collided with a tree.
The defendant was due to face trial for causing the death of Naomi by dangerous driving.
However, he pleaded guilty to the charge on what was due to be the first day of the trial.
He will be sentenced on July 24.
