
A man has been arrested after a break-in at Brompton-on-Swale recycling centre.
Police were called to to reports of an intruder at the facility on Wednesday night.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “As a repeat victim of burglary, suffering lost revenue and repair costs on a number of occasions, we were keen to find those responsible.
“Thanks to an excellent display of team work response officers, neighbourhood policing team, dog section and roads policing group located a male, who was arrested on suspicion of burglary.”
On the same night, a burglary was reported at Northallerton recycling centre in Yafforth Road.
A number of vehicle batteries and televisions were stolen.
