Man arrested after three people assaulted in Leyburn

Police have arrested a man in his 20s following an assault on three men in Leyburn.

The assault occurred in Market Place, Leyburn at about 12.10am on Sunday, May 4.

It involved three men being assaulted by a man outside the rear of a public house.

Two of the victims sustained facial injuries.

A man has been taken to custody and released, while investigations and enquiries are ongoing.

A police spokesperson said: “We’re particularly appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the assault or has any mobile phone footage.”
