A man was arrested and suspected stolen property recovered in Catterick Garrison yesterday.
The suspect was taken into custody after being stopped and searched in the town.
PC Carl Lawson said: “Good work from local CCTV and Catterick policing team has led to a positive use of stop and search within Catterick Garrison.
“A number of stolen items were recovered and the male from outside the force area was arrested on suspicion of theft for offences in North Yorkshire and Durham force areas.
“The male is currently in police custody and will be assisting us with our enquires.”
