Man arrested in Richmond on suspicion of drug dealing

A man has been arrested in Richmond on suspicion of drug dealing.

The 20-year-old was taken into custody after a raid on a flat in the town’s Reeth Road yesterday evening.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “We’ve arrested a man in Richmond after an operation to seize class-A drugs.

“The man in his 20s was taken into custody after we entered a flat in the Reeth Road area of the town yesterday evening.”

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class-A and class-B drugs, with quantities of both drugs seized during the raid.

Police say an investigation is ongoing.

The spokesperson added: “Do you have information about drug dealing in your community?

  1. About time, this was reported time and time again and Police did nothing. Now Towns are swamped with the stuff, they should tackle Leyburn and Middleham too.
