A man has been fined after admitting being drunk and disorderly in Leyburn.
Matthew Luke Kearney, of no fixed abode, appeared before York Magistrates’ Court on Monday (August 10).
The court heard Kearney had been drunk and behaving in a disorderly manner in a public place in Leyburn on June 22.
He pleaded guilty to an offence under Section 91(1) of the Criminal Justice Act 1967.
Magistrates fined Kearney £40, with his guilty plea taken into account when the sentence was imposed.
He was also ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £16 victim surcharge, taking the total amount payable to £141.
A collection order was made, with deductions from benefits authorised.
