Man fined after assaulting woman at Catterick Garrison bar

A man has been fined after admitting assaulting a woman at a Catterick Garrison night spot.

Jack Lee Dowling, 24, of Marne Barracks, Catterick Village, appeared at York Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

He admitted assaulting the named woman at Louis Bar in Kitchener Road on March 3 this year.

He also pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour against door staff and members of the public during the same incident.

The defendant was fined £356.

He was also ordered to pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £138 and costs of £85.
