A man was injured after his car hit a wall near Melsonby on Monday.
The emergency services were called to the incident on the B6274 at about 12.30pm.
Richmond firefighters gave first aid to the motorist who suffered various injuries after his car struck a wall and came to rest on its side.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the driver had managed to extricate himself prior to the fire crew’s arrival.
Firefighters then closed off the road awaiting police and ambulance, with the casualty left in their care.
His injuries were not life-threatening.
